Hello Parents and Caregivers! We are continuing to build strong learning habits this spring, with students showing great effort as they take on new challenges and apply their skills in different ways across subjects.
โ๏ธ Literacy โ Poetry Month & Summaries
This week we continue exploring poetry as part of Poetry Month. Students will also begin working on writing summaries, focusing on identifying key ideas and expressing them clearly in their own words.

โ Math
We started division last week and will continue learning the basics while practicing multiplication, area, and perimeter. Problem solving is also a big focus as we prepare for EQAO testing. Students are working toward an upcoming quiz, with an emphasis on building understanding and confidence.
๐ Social Studies โ Ontario
Students will continue learning about Ontario, with a focus on the geography of our local area and how it connects to the broader province.
๐ฟ Field Trip โ Toronto Urban Studies Centre Greenhouse

Our field trip is booked for Wednesday, April 29, 2026 โ a full-day trip to the TUSC Greenhouse at Danforth and Broadview. We will be travelling by TTC. We are looking for a few parent/guardian volunteers to join us โ please reach out if you are available!
The cost is $7.50. If this presents a financial obstacle, please let me know and arrangements will be made so all students can attend.
What to Bring Each Day ๐
๐ Agenda โ bring to and from school daily. Signed by Mr. Richman before leaving; signed by a caregiver each night.
๐ฑ Lunch & snacks โ healthy snacks encouraged. No peanut or nut products.
๐ง Reusable water bottle โ filled and ready each morning.
๐ Running shoes โ for gym. On wet/snowy days, please send indoor and outdoor shoes.
๐ท๏ธ Label everything! โ clothes, lunch bags, snack bags, food containers, and backpacks.
